Led Zeppelin tribute zenekar
Hosszas előélet, próbálkozás és sok-sok év Zep rajongása után elkezdődött valami… 1994. novemberében (19-e, vagy 20-a) emlékezetes Allstars tribute koncert volt a Pecsában, ahol kb. negyven zenész tette tiszteletét a Led Zeppelin előtt. Tíz évvel később, február 22-én a budapesti Fonóban tartottak egy LZ emlékestet. A fellépők a Coda, Session, eQuuS, Sághy Kálmán, Sipeki Zoltán, Gál Gábor voltak.
Ebből a megmozdulásból nőte ki magát az egyik magyar Zep tribute band, a Lead Zeppelin. Tagsága nagyon változó, de próbáljuk meg összehozni: Sághy Kálmán, Vörös Gábor, Vilmányi Gábor, Sipeki Zoltán, Gál Gábor, Gerdesits Ferenc. Körmendi Roland (Körülbelül 20 zenész mondhatja el magáról, hogy játszott a Lead Zeppelin névre hallgató formációban.)
A Szigeten minden évben fellépnek, illetve évente egy másik koncertet is szoktak adni. Eddigi legsikeresebb bulijuk a 2004-es Szigeten volt. Repertoárjukban nagyon sok szám megtalálható, csak, hogy néhányat említsünk, Black Dog, Whole Lotta Love, Rock and Roll, Heartbraker, Good Times- Bad Times és persze a Stairway to Heaven…
Egy jó hangulatú koncert a Muzikumból.
Álljon itt egy koncertbeszámoló. Örülök, hogy személyesen is ott lehettünk!
My favourite FoolVintage band: Lead Zeppelin — a Hungarian tribute to Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin tribute band
After a long musical history, various attempts and many years of devotion to Zeppelin, something began to take shape. On 19 or 20 November 1994, a memorable Allstars tribute concert took place at the Petőfi Csarnok in Budapest, where around forty musicians paid homage to Led Zeppelin. Ten years later, on 22 February, a Led Zeppelin tribute evening was held at the Fonó in Budapest. The performers included Coda, Session, eQuuS, Kálmán Sághy, Zoltán Sipeki and Gábor Gál.
One of Hungary’s Zeppelin tribute bands, Lead Zeppelin, grew out of this gathering. Its line-up has changed frequently; musicians associated with it include Kálmán Sághy, Gábor Vörös, Gábor Vilmányi, Zoltán Sipeki, Gábor Gál, Ferenc Gerdesits and Roland Körmendi. Around twenty musicians can say that they have played in the band called Lead Zeppelin.
At the time of the original article, the band performed at Sziget each year and usually gave one other annual concert. Its most successful show up to that point was at Sziget in 2004. The repertoire includes many songs, among them Black Dog, Whole Lotta Love, Rock and Roll, Heartbreaker, Good Times Bad Times and, of course, Stairway to Heaven.
A concert with a great atmosphere at the Muzikum.
Here is a concert review. I am happy that we were able to be there in person!
